‘I noticed that the first time in a long while, nothing appears to be hurting!’

Having had a previous session with Richard, I took the opportunity to go deeper and booked a 3-hour shamanic healing session. It felt timely as I had been feeling flat, uninspired, and tired, lacking energy, focus, and direction. Life seemed full of self-chosen commitments, with various 'hats' constantly and repetitively being donned—carer, partner, therapist, mum, granny, gardener, and generally helpful person. There was not enough magic, creativity, play, or spontaneous 'me' time.

My body frequently signaled its unhappiness too. Pain in my lower back and knees often restricted my activity, my neck and right shoulder emitted a dull, chronic pain, and my left eye was almost permanently red, watery, and irritated.

Richard struck me as very professional, organised, and capable in his approach. He listened attentively, and everything around, during, and after the session was clearly and unhurriedly explained, leaving space for any questions. I sensed no heaviness or big ego—just a quiet competence, willingness to explore and be curious, along with a twinkly sense of humour and playfulness.

Without sharing exact details, I would like to say that Richard worked hard during the session to remove and reinstate what was needed to restore balance on multiple levels. The converted barn he works in is a lovely space. During the session, it seemed to expand and turn into something much more spacious, with the walls almost disappearing. Despite this, I felt safe and contained at all times. The three hours passed quickly.

Weeks on, I am still processing the experience. On a physical level, I noticed within hours that, most unusually and for the first time in a while, nothing appeared to be hurting! This relief lasted for several days before niggles started again. It was too tempting to go full throttle and overdo things because I felt good! My eye, on the other hand, continues to improve, especially when I pay it good attention and avoid lengthy screen time.

What I tell friends and family about Richard's work is: go and find out for yourself—it may be the beginning of welcoming in change and new directions in your life. Would I go for another session? Most definitely. Would I recommend him to friends and family? I already have.
